Mini Cooper vs Alfa Romeo at Goodwood - YouTube Gold
Yes. This is a few minutes of pure automotive relaxation. Two vintage cars going all out at the legendary Goodwood Revival of 2015.
Let's begin with the Mini. It's a vintage Mini Cooper that's being completely wrung out by its driver Nick Swift. Nick is the genius behind Swiftune and he might very well be the most knowledgeable chap when it comes to making vintage Mini's fast.
His little green Mini has a pretty cool life. It gets to bully way bigger cars like Alfa Romeo GTV's. If you know a thing or two about Alfa Romeo GTV's, you know 'bigger' is quite a weird term for it. The Alfa Romeo is in no way big, but it looks huge next to the dancing Mini.
This video of the 2015 Goodwood Members Meeting is one we watch multiple times per year. It's an amazing display of skill by the drivers. The only thing that exceeds the balls of those two drivers, is the joy and the respect for each other. These cars are driven on and over their limits, but all in good spirits and with amazing sportsmanship.
If you want to know more about how Swift controls his car and how he does a lap around the Goodwood track, you should also watch the video below. It's a nice bonus in which you can see Nick working the car around the track.
About YouTube Gold
In this returning series we highlight a YouTube video we love. It can be recent, it can be older than the internet itself, but it's definitely worth the watch. It can be a documentary, a short clip, a feature of a car or an onboard around a track. It can be a very expensive production but also a very simple production. Sometimes a dashcam video leaves a bigger impression than a Hollywood production. Either way, what we post in this series is worth your attention in our mind. It's in our favorites and we think it might just make it to your favorites too.
To make it easy, we collect all our YouTube Gold featured videos in a public playlist on our channel. Go check it out, and while you're there: give our channel a follow and, if you please, set the alerts for new videos. We'll be posting stuff there you will not want to miss.
